Without having to go into the game menu, you can change it in the registry. Look for SoftwareMax-DesignAnno1503 under HKEY_USERS
There will be a SCREENMODE key which you can give values 1,2,3 or 4 I believe, for the different possible resolutions. I'm using option 4, for 1280x1024

I keep getting the runaround from UbiSoft and the older developers and it`s apparent no one cares because it`s an older title.
GOG should not be making money off of this game when it doesn`t work on new OSs

GOG should not be making money off of this game when it doesn`t work on new OSs Important as well, GOG provides all support for old games. That is part of their agreement with license holders. Get in contact with GOG's support and they should be able to help you.
